Choosing A Niche Topic

Some points to consider in choosing a "niche topic" or
theme for a "niche blog":

1. Market value of related services, products and information such as books, ebooks, audio and video promotional or teaching material.

2. Is the theme a common one that has already saturated the blogosphere or the internet?

3. Be sure that the niche topic interests both the writer/creator and the reader/market.

4. Choose a theme or topic with "pizzazz" so it will make your heart flutter and your mind race with ideas every time you think about creating a post or an ad for the niche blog.

Just for emphasis and to "showcase" My Niche Blogs I am listing some of the blogs below. As this blog progresses, I will explore with my readers the progress of each blog and examine the successes, failures, tips, lessons, and all aspects of the niche blogs growth.

With so many tasks required in the freelance writing /blogging business, it is imperative to make those lists. The next step in that goal setting focus is to prioritize that list. Decide what is most important to build a foundation for a successful business.

  • Blog U Back - Share The Vibe: Write for one another on each other's blogs and help bring the rankings up as well as increasing your web content. This blog is going to explore this method and open up the doors for sharing in the blogosphere without having to join any group or middle man.
  • Dear Diary - A fiction story telling site that speaks to "Dear Diary" in the formal voice used in Victorian times at the birth of diary writing practice.
